Tottenham Hotspur rejected enquiries from Premier League rivals Chelsea and Aston Villa for midfielder Lucas Bergvall in January, journalist David Ornstein has revealed.
The north London side were reportedly approached by the two English clubs over the ‘sensational’ 20-year-old but had no plans to consider an exit during the winter transfer window.
Villa reportedly eyed Bergvall as a potential alternative to Conor Gallagher, who joined Spurs last month, before opting to re-sign midfielder Douglas Luiz on loan from Juventus.
Bergvall, who is under contract until June 2031, is currently sidelined after suffering an ankle injury against Borussia Dortmund last month.
