According to Meridian Sport, Partizan rejected four lucrative NBA offers for former Los Angeles Lakers forward Isaac Bonga.

With the NBA deadline for signing players from outside the league running until April 12, the German international is among the most sought-after reinforcements.

However, Partizan did not want to part with their most consistent player—even for substantial compensation—and further weaken a team that has already suffered a series of blows this season.

This season, the 26-year-old forward is averaging 9.6 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game in the EuroLeague.

Bonga sparked NBA buzz during a crucial performance at the 2025 EuroBasket, where he helped Germany win the gold medal.

He finished EuroBasket 2025 averaging 9.9 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 1.4 steals, and 0.7 blocks per game, earning the tournament’s Best Defender award.

His heroics in the final further cemented his reputation as an X-factor. Bonga scored 20 points (4/7 2PT, 4/4 3PT) and grabbed five rebounds in that game against Turkey, accelerating speculation about his potential return to the NBA.

Before heading to Europe in the 2022–23 season, he spent four seasons in the NBA after being selected with the 39th pick in the 2018 NBA Draft.

He played for three different teams during that time, including the Los Angeles Lakers, Washington Wizards, and the Toronto Raptors.

He holds career NBA averages of 3.1 points and 2.2 rebounds in a total of 143 career games.
