Chelsea winger Pedro Neto bagged three goals last night against Hull – although he wasn’t sure about that until full time.
Pedro Neto is understandably delighted after a hattrick in the FA Cup, and he spoke to the club’s official website this morning.
“To be honest, on the second goal, I was in doubt if it was mine or not,” Neto said.
At the end of the game, I went to the referee and asked whether it was a hat-trick or not. Did I have the right to the ball? He said, “Yeah, yeah, you have the right!”
His wicked in-swinging corner went through a crowd at the near post and flew directly. Jorrel Hato seemed to be claiming a touch on it at the time, but it was sorted out right away:
“Jorrel said to me, ‘It’s your goal, I didn’t touch the ball!!’ Most of all, I’m happy that we went through. We did an unbelievable performance against a tough team away and I think it’s a well-deserved win,” Neto concluded.

It really was impressive from the team, who showed a lot of intensity in blowing away a spirited and talented Hull team. Manager Liam Rosenior picked a strong team and got his rewards.
In other news…
Jorrel Hato is going to have to play while Marc Cucurella is out, and while there’s a lot of promise there, there are also flaws in his game we’re concerned about, as the stats from last night show.
Marc Cucurella is about to enter the final two years of his contract, and Chelsea want him to sign a new one. If he doesn’t, we could be looking at an unthinkable decision.
