When it comes to elite defensive play in the NFL, longtime ESPN analyst and former All-Pro Baltimore Ravens Bart Scott is one of the few people we can truly consider an expert.
That’s why when Scott talks about something to do with his old team, we should listen.
On Friday, Scott made probably the best case for the Ravens to trade for Las Vegas Raiders NFL All-Pro edge rusher Maxx Crosby — swapping second round picks in 2026 and 2027 for a player who could immediately turn the Ravens into Super Bowl contenders.
“I think Ravens are an amazing spot for Crosby,” Scott said on “Get Up” on Friday. “At this age, you want to be on the biggest stage. You want to win. Imagine having Derrick Henry on offense running the ball and is the game gets closer and closer you have someone (in Crosby) who can get to a guy like Josh Allen, Patrick Mahomes, Joe Burrow … (Crosby) plays relentless. He plays with his hair on fire. It’s like he was built to be a Raven.”
Scott made the Ravens as an undrafted free agent out of Southern Illinois in 2002 and played 7 seasons there, earning NFL All-Pro honors in 2006. He played a further 4 seasons with the New York Jets from 2009 to 2012.
