USA's Chloe Kim Shares Emotional Message About Boyfriend Myles Garrett

For perhaps the first time on a national stage, sports fans got an inside look at the relationship between Team USA snowboarder Chloe Kim and NFL superstar Myles Garrett during the Winter Olympics in Italy.

While Kim's journey concluded with a silver medal in the halfpipe final, Garrett was there every step of the way - cheering her on, wearing a custom jacket with her face on it and snapping photos throughout both qualifying and medal runs as she made history.

Kim became the first U.S. women's snowboarder to medal in three consecutive Olympic halfpipe events. Had she won gold, she would have become the first snowboarder - male or female - to capture three straight gold medals in the competition.

Garrett admitted that watching Kim compete was "exciting but terrifying," and Kim later opened up about their relationship during an interview with Access Hollywood.

"He's my best friend, truly," Kim said. "He's the best. I'm just so grateful for him for so many reasons. Despite his busy life, he always shows up for me, and I try to do the same for him. It's funny when you find someone you have so much in common with - especially when I didn't think we would. We spend our downtime the same way. We love just chilling, watching anime, playing the same games, eating the same foods. It's such a funny thing, and I'm so grateful and fortunate to have met him."

Their relationship is still fairly new. They began publicly dating in May 2025 when they attended the Crunchyroll Anime Awards together.

Garrett is coming off a historic NFL season in which he broke the single-season sack record and won Defensive Player of the Year. Just days after receiving the honor at NFL Honors, he flew overseas to support Kim as she began her third Olympic journey.

At just 25, Kim's Olympic journey is far from over. Garrett, 30, continues to show no signs of slowing down, adding to his legacy with each season.
