Notre Dame is expected to hire Chase Jones as a defensive analyst, sources tell John Brice of FootballScoop and Irish Illustrated.
Jones served as the linebackers graduate assistant coach at his alma mater, Wake Forest, for the past two years, according to his LinkedIn and X (formerly Twitter).

As a player, the Demon Deacons linebacker was a two-time captain and former All-ACC Academic All-American. Despite missing his graduate season due to injury, he recorded 158 career tackles (10.5 for a loss), 2.5 sacks, four pass deflections, four forced fumbles and five fumble recoveries.
Jones is expected to replace Jevaughn Codlin, who left in December to become the new safeties coach at North Texas under Neal Brown.
He'll work with new linebackers coach Brian Jean-Mary, who came from Michigan after Notre Dame lost Max Bullough to Michigan State and Al Washington to the Miami Dolphins this offseason.
In South Bend, Ind., Jone will have the opportunity to work with an experienced and talented group of linebackers, including team captain and leading tackler Drayk Bowen, Kyngstonn Viliamu-Asa, Jalen Sneed, Jaiden Ausberry and Madden Faraimo. All are former blue-chip prospects.
Notre Dame plans to open spring ball on March 20.
