Former Arizona Wildcats forward Carter Bryant, a rookie for the San Antonio Spurs, helped his Rising Stars team to a championship in the NBA All-Star event on Friday.
Bryant came off the bench to score five points with one rebound and one steal in his five minutes as Team Vince beat Team Melo 25-24, the two squads coached by Vince Carter and Carmelo Anthony, respectively.
Earlier during the event, Carter and Team Vince beat Team T-Mac, coached by Tracy McGrady, 41-36. Bryant had four points and a block in five minutes during the win.

Bryant made all four of his shot attempts over the two contests.
The former Wildcat was not on the original roster for the event, but with Memphis Grizzlies rookie Cedric Coward injured, Bryant took his place.
V.J. Edgecombe of the Philadelphia 76ers won MVP for the event after scoring 23 points between the two games, also hitting the game-winning free throws in the championship.
Bryant will also participate in Saturday night’s dunk contest, along with fellow former Wildcat forward Keshad Johnson.
