Stefon Diggs has had a tough time in the past weeks, having lost the Super Bowl game to the Seattle Seahawks in an embarrassing display. The score was 29-13 and the New England Patriots struggled to make any offensive impact until late in the game, with Diggs only having 3 receptions for 37 yards.
Aside from this, he has been estranged from his girlfriend Cardi B, the famous American rapper. She has recently got into the spotlight after a comment she made online went viral.
Stefon Diggs’ ex-GF Cardi B claps back at Homeland Security
Cardi B is known for regularly making headlines, many times for her online activities. The rapper had recently mocked ICE during her “Little Miss Drama” tour, where she told fans to ‘jump’ ICE agents if they came to arrest immigrants at her shows. Later, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) under which ICE works, tweeted on their official account, “As long as she doesn’t drug and rob our agents, we’ll consider that an improvement over her past behavior.”

Since then, rumors have come out that the DHS may have to partially shutdown due to funding issues. Cardi took the opportunity to diss them, responding with “I planned this.” along with a GIF Dr. Evil from Austin Powers smirking.
Cardi and Diggs have been together for a while, and even welcomed a child together last year. However, the player is reported to have cheated on her repeatedly and has impregnated 4-6 women. This has led to her possibly breaking up with him, after speculation that Diggs invited his ex-girlfriend to the Super Bowl game.
Diggs has been largely silent on the issue after the Super Bowl loss, but he has not exactly been free from controversy either. Like his ex-partner, he has also grabbed headlines in another separate incident.
Stefon Diggs pleads not guilty in strangulation case
Diggs was previously accused by his former personal chef of assaulting her due to a dispute over unpaid wages in December last year. He faced charges of felony strangulation and assault, and was supposed to have a hearing earlier. However, a judge had arraigned it after the Super Bowl game and Diggs has now faced the judge in Dedham District Court, Massachusetts.
He pleaded not guilty to the charges, which has also earned him much backlash. The 32-year-old has been released on orders to have no contact with the accuser. A pretrial hearing has been set for April 1, and his legal team insist that their client is innocent. Diggs has consistently said he is innocent from the beginning.
Stefon Diggs will now focus on his life after separating from Cardi B, and look towards the next season.
