“Big Mistake” “Poverty Franchise”: NFL Fans React As Jaguars Lock Down Travis Hunter’s Playing…

Travis Hunter had an early finish to his rookie year with the Jaguars in the 2025 NFL season after he was drafted as the No.2nd overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.

The ex-Colorado star faced a season-ending knee injury in the middle of the game, something that many analysts warned him about before his NFL career began, since he is a two-way player.

While Hunter has expressed his love for playing both as a cornerback and a wide receiver, many pro players and analysts warned him of the potential injury issues that he could end up facing.

After missing half of the 2025 season and undergoing knee surgery, Travis Hunter and the Jaguars have reportedly now plan to use the ex-Heisman Trophy winner as a full-time cornerback and a part-time wide receiver.

“The best thing that happened for him was the Meyers signing. Let him focus on being elite at one thing. He can put that ridiculous energy and gas tank to work on the defense. Can’t wait to see how hype that unit gets with him healthy!!” one fan reacted.

“Full-time CB was always the ceiling play. With BTJ, Meyers, and Washington eating targets, why force the two-way experiment when the defense desperately needs a true CB1?” another fan pointed out.

“Interesting logic here, but makes sense honestly. Especially with the Jakobi Meyers addition last year along with Brian Thomas and Parker Washington, they have plenty of weapons at WR. So when Hunter is playing on offense, you know he is getting the ball.” another fan shared their thoughts.

“They need to focus him on 1 position. His body won’t last with the hits. He couldn’t even make it his first season. He might not make it through his first contract if the jaguars don’t lay down the law and tell him to commit to one position.” another fan pointed out.

“Big mistake.” another fan bluntly said.

“That’s wtf they should’ve done at first. Bro can’t run a route to save his life. He’s a great ball hawking corner though. Jags really are a poverty franchise.” another fan added.

Travis Hunter Gets His Wife Leanna’s Face Tatted on His Body

Travis Hunter married his longtime girlfriend, Leanna Lenee, in May 2025 after being together since early 2022. The couple has been together throughout the ex-Colorado star’s college career and continues to raise their family as they have a baby boy together.

Leanna has caught the fans’ wrath many times throughout his career, with many fans calling her a gold digger and a red flag for some offbeat social media posts. Hunter has never had any doubts about his love for his wife.

Hunter recently showed off his love with a massive gesture as he got his wife Leanna and his son’s face tatted on his chest, which she boasted about in a recent Instagram post, saying, “exactly.”
