Bill Maher Takes Aim at Bad Bunny's Critics After Super Bowl Halftime Show

It was only a matter of time before Bill Maher shared his thoughts on Bad Bunny's halftime show for Super Bowl LX.

Earlier this week, longtime comedian and TV host Jon Stewart ripped Bad Bunny's critics on "The Daily Show." He found all the outrage about the Grammy Award winner's show to be performative and pathetic.

"This whole culture war this weekend has really demonstrated one thing: it's that for all of Maga's triumphalism, it's not a movement that seems confident in its position," Stewart said during his monologue. "These people who control every branch of government are so triggered by someone singing in Spanish for 20 minutes, they need to create their own safe space alternative half-time show, where Trad Bunny over here is singing songs about how he can't even enjoy sitting in a truck and drinking beer because he knows that somewhere out there, there's a trans person."

On Friday night's episode of "Real Time," Maher offered his two cents on all the controversy surrounding Bad Bunny's halftime show. Let's just say he shares a similar opinion as Stewart.

"A lot of conservative America is very butt-hurt these days. They're still recovering from the halftime show," Maher said, via TV Insider. "They hated it because it was in Spanish. But now they're pretending to hate because it was smutty. And it was sexual, very overtly sexual, with dirty lyrics. Well, what do you expect? He's not called Good Bunny."

Will Bad Bunny be investigated?

Rep. Mark Alford suggested this week that Bad Bunny should be investigated for allegedly using "disturbing" language during his halftime show.

"On the Bad Bunny bad performance at the Super Bowl - we're still investigating this. There's a lot of information that has come out about the lyrics. I saw the halftime show - we were switching back and forth with the TPUSA halftime show. The lyrics from what we've seen from Bad Bunny are very disturbing," Alford said. "And if it holds true - I don't speak fluent Spanish, okay, I know how to ask where the bathroom is - but if it's true what was said on national television, we have a lot of questions for the entities that broadcast this and we'll be talking with Brendan Carr from the FCC. This could be much worse than the Janet Jackson wardrobe malfunction."

As of now, Bad Bunny isn't expected to face any fines from the FCC.
