Coach Liam Rosenior has given a huge update on the Chelsea player Tosin. Tosin is one of the most key players for the new coach, Liam Rosenior, and is key to his plans. It would be really interesting to see how the manager plans his game return.
Rosenior gave some big updates on the players’ return. “Tosin trained fully for the first time on Wednesday, so this game might come a little bit too soon, but we’ll make that judgment with the medical team,” Rosenior said in Thursday’s press conference.
Clearly just a couple of days of training isn’t enough for the defender to feature tomorrow, and we wouldn’t expect him to anyway. Mamadou Sarr returned from his loan at Strasbourg in January, and we think he gets his first start of the season as a Blue tonight.
To Chelsea, Tosin’s future is now very much in question. Trevoh Chalobah, Wesley Fofana, Levi Colwill, and Sarr will all be ahead of him in the pecking order come the summer. Plus, there’s Josh Acheampong to think about. Both Tosin and Benoit Badiashile will be battling for the 6th spot in the rotation, and the loser of that battle seems likely to be sold. Defender Tosin got on the score sheet when we beat another Championship opponent, Charlton Athletic, 5-1 in the last round but has been missing in recent weeks due to a hamstring injury. Ahead of our visit to Hull, Rosenior confirmed he is getting closer to a return to action for the Blues.
‘Tosin trained fully for the first time on Wednesday, so this game might come a little bit too soon, but we’ll make that judgment with the medical team,’ said our head coach.
Another Chelsea update: other than Tosin, another player is also close to returning , as per Rosenior
Jorgensen is another player who has been missing from the team sheet. With 22-year-old goalkeeper Teddy Sharwan Lowe, who returned from his loan at Bolton Wanderers in January, supporting Robert Sanchez from the bench during the Danish international’s absence. ‘Filip’s not fully fit at the moment,’ added Rosenior. ‘He’s working really hard on his rehab. ‘ Teddy has had a very important loan at this stage of his career. He’s shown me really good things in training as well. So I’ve got no worries if we have to call upon him.’
The more players at his disposal, the better for Rosenior at the moment. As Chelsea’s pursuit of success on three fronts, in the Premier League, UEFA Champions League and FA Cup, continues at Hull.
‘At this club you need to win every game, and you need to be in every competition. There doesn’t need to be a conversation about that; that’s clear,’ he insisted.
Press Conference of the Coach
Liam Rosenior faces the media ahead of Chelsea’s FA Cup fourth-round tie against Hull City. ‘So we don’t have ideas about which competition is more important than the other. We just want to win every game that we play. ‘That’s why you have a squad. You need a good squad to compete in the competitions that we’re in. And I’m sure I’ll pick a team—and a bench as well, which is important—that is strong enough to win the game.’
After this FA Cup tie, Rosenior will have a free midweek to work with his players for the first time since taking charge. Allowing a chance to refresh and reflect before returning to Premier League action.
Author’s insight
From the author’s point of view, the player’s return will definitely help the team and the coach. The coach can play his original tactics after the player’s return.
