Gleison Bremer could be a top target for Liverpool this summer if Ibrahima Konate does indeed leave.
Juventus rate the Brazilian centre-back highly and won’t let him go for anything but a mega fee.
The need for Bremer will be decided by Konate’s contract decision. If the Frenchman is to leave, this might be the best avenue for the Reds to go down.
Liverpool see Bremer as a Konate replacement. Both are physical, quick, assured defenders. At 28, Bremer is on the older side, but with Jeremy Jacquet and Giovanni Leoni both recently joined, that’s not a problem.

As for how this deal gets done, a hint has been given from Italy.
Liverpool told price for Gleison Bremer swoop
Bremer won’t come cheap.
He is one of the more desirable centre-back options that will be gettable next summer, and it won’t come cheap.
A report from Calcio Mercato claims that while Juventus would rather keep their star defender, an offer of £60 million or so could persuade them to sell.

They describe Bremer as ‘one of the most sought-after players’, and draw comparisons with fellow Liverpool target Alessandro Bastoni, who would require some convincing as well.
Any player good enough to replace Konate will cost a pretty penny. The question is whether Liverpool think he would hold some of his value beyond a couple of seasons at Anfield.

Even if they do decide to offer that amount, it doesn’t mean they will win the race.
Chelsea and Bayern Munich can get Jeremy Jacquet revenge with Bremer
Liverpool will again be at odds with Chelsea and Bayern if they are serious about pursuing Bremer.
The same report mentions those two teams, who were recently bested by Liverpool signing Jacquet.
Bayern might need to replace Dayot Upamecano, while Chelsea are always wanting at the back. For the London side, this does feel too old a profile given BlueCo’s affinity for youth.

With Bayern, it could be a revolving door situation. If they are serious about Bremer, it’s likely because they expect to lose their current star defender.
Liverpool could go for Upamecano altogether, but Bremer is an equally enticing option.
