Arsenal’s WSL game at Brighton was postponed around 90 minutes before kick-off due to a water-logged pitch.
Arsenalconfirmed the decision, saying that after an inspection after the pitch covers were removed, the officials made the decision to call the match off.
With Arsenal already a game behind everyone else in the WSL due to their participation in the FIFA Women’s Champions Cup, Arsenal now face a headache in trying to fit in this game against Brighton.
Questions will certainly have to be asked as to why it took until almost 1pm to make this decision, given Arsenal fans will have most likely already have arrived in Brighton.
