It's officially basketball season.
Football season ended last weekend, with the Seattle Seahawks topping the New England Patriots, 29-13, in the Super Bowl. The Seahawks won their second Super Bowl in franchise history. The Patriots, meanwhile, were blown out, as they were not up to the standard of the Seahawks.
But now it's basketball season.
The NBA is holding its All-Star Weekend this weekend, while the college basketball world is gearing up for the NCAA Tournament.

Who will end up reaching the Final Four this year?
ESPN's computer model, the Basketball Power Index, has released its latest pick for the 2026 Final Four:
Duke
Michigan
Houston
Arizona
The Blue Devils are the favorite right now, according to the BPI. But it's anyone's game come March.
How does the BPI work?
The BPI is a projection-based model.
"The College Basketball Power Index (BPI) is a measure of team strength that is meant to be the best predictor of performance going forward. BPI represents how many points above or below average a team is. Strength of Record (SOR) is a measure of team accomplishment based on how difficult a team's W-L record is to achieve. Game predictions account for opponent strength, pace of play, site, travel distance, day's rest and altitude, and are used to simulate the season 10,000 times to produce season projections. Numbers update daily," ESPN writes.
