Liverpool “should not be discounted” as a potential suitor for Nottingham Forest defender Murillo, according to reports.
TEAMtalk claim that the Reds could still sign another centre-back. Not satisfied with signing Jeremy Jacquet from under the noses of Chelsea, they could do the same with Murillo.
Both clubs reportedly considered bids for the Brazilian last year and the player himself is now said to be pushing for an exit at the end of the season.

It is believed a fee of around £50m would be necessary to secure the 23-year-old’s signature this summer.
Murillo is a player liked by scouts
The Athletic reported back in June that Liverpool’s scouting department are big fans of the Nottingham Forest defender.
Murillo was named alongside Jorrel Hato as potential alternative to Marc Guehi when the club were looking to strengthen the middle of defence last summer.
As we all know, the move for Guehi didn’t work out, while Hato moved to Chelsea, so Murillo is the only one of the three options still on the market.
Do Liverpool need another centre-half?
While the €60m (£52m) addition of Jacquet does strengthen the club’s numbers at the back, sporting director Richard Hughes will he mindful of the fact that captain Virgil van Dijk will only have a year left on his contract this summer.
As the Dutch colossus will turn 35 in July, there is a decent chance that the 2026/27 campaign will be his last at Anfield, and Murillo could be eyed as his long-term replacement.
He is left-footed, so he could line up alongside Jacquet, or Ibrahima Konate if the Frenchman stays. Secondly, at 23 years of age, he is 11 years younger than van Dijk, meaning he could be a stalwart of the club’s defence for a decade or more. On top of that, Murilo already has plenty of Premier League experience.
