Matt Leinart’s NFL career never lived up to the college hype. His NFL career spanned seven seasons with three teams, concluding after a brief preseason stint with the Buffalo Bills in August 2013. Despite his legendary college career at USC Trojans, where he won the 2004 Heisman Trophy and two national championships, Leinart struggled with injuries and inconsistency in the pros.
Following his release from Buffalo, Leinart retired from professional football. He began his broadcasting career with the Pac-12 Network in 2014 before joining FOX Sports full-time in 2015.
Then he got married to actress-turned-attorney Josie Loren in 2018. The couple has three kids, plus Leinart’s 19-year-old son from a previous relationship. This week, Josie reminded her Matt that a husband should never forget about his wife on Valentine’s Day.
Ex-Bills QB Matt Leinart’s wife wants to sell his Heisman Trophy for $20 cappuccino trade
Days before Valentine’s Day, Josie took to Instagram to drop a “threat” that NFL fans can’t stop talking about. She posted a photo with the former 10th overall pick, jokingly venting her frustrations about this year’s special day.

Shewrote, “My husband hasn’t asked me to be his valentine yet. So I’m selling his Heisman Trophy. 😍”
Despite being his wife, making such a public “complaint” was both surprising and lighthearted. In a second slide, she even included a mock listing for the famous bronze statue. “$20, negotiable. Would also trade for a cappuccino and a baked good,” she added.
She added, “Pros: Makes for a great podcast backdrop. Heavy enough to also double as a paperweight. 1 of 1 (just like me). Comes with built-in stories that begin with ‘Back when I played.'”

Matt earned that hardware. In 2004, he threw for 3,322 yards and 33 touchdowns with just six interceptions, leading USC to an undefeated season and a second straight national title. But that special honor is at serious risk of losing its original value.
NFL fans can’t stop laughing at Josie Leinart’s hilarious roast

Another joked, “Her undergarments are expensive than her asking price.”
A third penned, “I’ll pay for shipping. Let me know your Venmo.”
A fourth chimed in: “Diego Pavia might pay a lot more for it, just saying😂😂”
The fifth added, “I’ll give you $50 for it!”
