Why Enzo Fernandez thinks Chelsea have improved under Liam Rosenior, Marc Cucurella agrees

Liam Rosenior has got his Chelsea side clicking with the Blues back to winning ways against Hull City, and Enzo Fernandez believes he’s made one important change after life under Enzo Maresca.

The win over Hull on Friday night was the eighth win in 11 games for Rosenior in all competitions. He is the joint-second-fastest manager to win eight games as Chelsea manager, level with Thomas Tuchel.

Behind only Jose Mourinho. In that time, Rosenior has watched his side score a whopping 28 goals, two more than Carlo Ancelotti managed in his first 11 games. It’s been a brilliant start to life in London.

Are you convinced by Rosenior yet, Chelsea fans?

His start is almost as good as Jose's!

There were doubters, and despite two defeats to Arsenal and the inability to beat Leeds at home after six crazy minutes, Rosenior is guiding Chelsea back into the top four while silverware remains a possibility.

Enzo Fernandez highlights one thing Liam Rosenior has done

Many players have improved their form since Rosenior took charge. It is no surprise, Rosenior has got his players feeling a million dollars, whether that is behind the scenes or praise during his press conferences.

Enzo Fernandez is one of those players who has improved his form since the arrival of the former Hull and Strasbourg manager, and he believes Chelsea are benefiting because Rosenior has instilled confidence.

Certainly, he has more charm and charisma than Enzo Maresca did: “He’s a great coach. He only arrived a month ago but he’s showing all of his potential. Football doesn’t give you time, it only wants results.

“That’s how it is, but he is managing to get results. We’re very happy with him. He gives us a lot of confidence, so we’re very happy that he’s with us,” Fernandez added, during an interview on Sky Sports.

It’s not the first time a Chelsea player has mentioned confidence

A few weeks ago, left-back Marc Cucurella was speaking ahead of the second leg Carabao Cup final. Even that early on, Cucurella said the confidence was better among Chelsea players than it was with Maresca.

What is the biggest difference you’ve noticed between Enzo Maresca and Liam Rosenior’s Chelsea?👀

“They give, as well, some confidence that not all of the players had before. We are in a good point. We can improve a lot of things for sure, we don’t time to train but we are trying to understand his ideas.”

Clearly, things had become stagnant under Maresca, leading to a lack of confidence. Now, Rosenior is at Chelsea and things are looking up again and it might even see Chelsea end the season with a trophy.
