Luka Doncic believes the Lakers, despite injuries and sitting fifth in the West, have the team to compete for the NBA title.
The Los Angeles Lakers have a 33-21 record at the All-Star break. Even though they are currently fifth in the Western Conference, Luka Doncic believes they can still compete for the title.

"I think we can do it. We have the team for it," Doncic affirmed.
The team has dealt with many injuries this season, missing games from Luka, LeBron James, Austin Reaves, and Deandre Ayton.
Before the February 5 trade deadline, the Lakers improved their roster by trading for sharpshooter Luke Kennard from the Atlanta Hawks.
Last season, the Lakers were eliminated in the first round of the 2025 NBA Playoffs by the Minnesota Timberwolves.
