The Red Devils have seen a real turnaround under Michael Carrick, boosting them up into the Premier League top four. They look on course to qualify for Champions League football next season, which would be huge when it comes to recruiting players in the summer.
Whether Carrick is in charge or if it is someone else, United will look to spend big to head into their next era of the post-Ferguson years. The holding midfielder role is a key position for United to improve, with Casemiro leaving at the end of the season. United have been linked to three big names, Elliot Anderson, Carlos Baleba, and Adam Wharton, but there is another name too.
In terms of other positions, United are also expected to try and strengthen their back line, as they will have to deal with the best attackers in the world if they do qualify for the Champions League.
This is how United could line up next season, based on the most recent transfer rumours circulating round...
