Rose, who has nearly five million followers on Instagram, also confirmed the relationship on her Instagram story by posting several pictures of gifts, including a red Gucci wallet, and a photo of her and Rice kissing in front of an inflatable red heart.

Despite Rice and Rose boasting about their newfound love life, there remains plenty of controversy around the 25-year-old Chiefs player after Jones, his ex-partner and the mother of his two children, accused him of domestic violence in Jan. 2026.

In a now-deleted Instagram post, Jones shared a slideshow of photos along with a lengthy caption admitting to the abuse she suffered while in a relationship with her ex-boyfriend over the past few years.

While Jones did not explicitly use Rice’s name, the post was interpreted as an accusation against him.

“I’m so tired of keeping quiet I’m so tired of protecting his image,” Jones wrote. “I’ve been through enough in the span of 8 years and I’ve had ENOUGH! I’ve dealt with abuse for years, me and this man decided to break up a couple months ago and it’s been nothing but hell.”

“He's very controlling, there's been times he's came to my new home broken my door, there's been times when he would put his hands on me while I was pregnant even had the audacity to lock me outside all night in ten degree weather because he got caught cheating.”

Jones went on to detail instances of her ex-partner cutting up her clothes, failing to see his children, and stranding her in another state with their kids, among several other accusations.

No further update has been issued from law enforcement, the Chiefs, or the NFL regarding an investigation on the matter.

In July 2025, Rice was sentenced to 30 days in jail and five years probation for his role in a multi-car crash that took place in 2024 and left multiple people injured, with Rice and his friends fleeing the scene before police arrived.

The Chiefs wide receiver was subsequently suspended for the first six games of the 2025 NFL season for violating the NFL’s personal conduct policy.
