Jordon Ibe will appear in court charged with actual bodily harm after his arrest at Luton Airport last month, police have said. The former Liverpool winger has been charged in relation to an alleged assault on December 14, according to the Metropolitan Police.
Ibe, of Chislehurst, south-east London, was arrested at the airport on January 30 and taken into custody. He has been released on bail and will appear at Croydon Magistrates' Court on March 6.
Ibe burst onto the scene as a 17-year-old and played 58 games for Liverpool, but could not quite secure a permanent spot in the team at Anfield. The 30-year-old Signed from Wycombe Wanderers as a teenager before eventually agreeing a permanent switch to fellow Premier League side AFC Bournemouth. Ibe made 78 appearances across four years at Bournemouth between 2016 and 2020.
The footballer now plays for Lokomotiv Sofia in the Bulgarian First League. In the last two years, he had been playing non-league football before securing the move to the Bulgarian capital in November 2025.
