Liverpool have been linked with Juventus star defender Gleison Bremer ahead of the summer

Liverpool are on the market for new centre-back options this summer, following eye-opening setbacks to their current backline this season.

With Ibrahima Konate likely to leave Anfield this summer, the Reds are in need of defensive reinforcements. Giovanni Leoni’s absence and ongoing injury blows to Joe Gomez have also outlined Arne Slot’s need for new signings.

Juventus star Gleison Bremer has been linked with an Anfield move this summer and a new report from Italy has claimed how much Liverpool could offer to convince I Bianconeri to cash in.

Liverpool and Chelsea quoted amount for transfer target Bremer

According to a run of transfer updates from Calciomercato, Bremer is ‘one of the most sought-after players’ in the centre-back market right now. Liverpool and Chelsea have both been mentioned with links to the Brazilian, who is a crucial part of the Juventus machine.

The Italian powerhouses do not want to sell up and there is currently no release clause in his contract. However, the report claims that if a club was to offer €70 million (£61m) or above, it could be enough to sway Juve into a reluctant sale.

Bremer is a key player for Juventus and he is under contract until 2029. However, the lure from mentioned clubs including Liverpool, Chelsea and Bayern Munich could be enough to force through a transfer.

Bremer is highly rated by those around him. Former manager Igor Tudor recently referred to him as the ‘best defender in the world’. Prior to his move to Turin in 2025, Tudor managed Serie A opponents Lazio and he spoke about Bremer with former striker Taty Castellanos at the time.

“Look over there. There is a defender who, for me, is the best in the world,” Tudor said at the time in attempt to motivate Castellanos, via Juvefc.com. “Is there anything more beautiful than playing against the best in the world? No, there isn’t.”
