How Many NBA All-Star MVPs Does LeBron James Have?

LeBron James is a 22-time NBA All-Star. He's set to appear in the big game at 41 years old on Sunday night at the Intuit Dome.

Since he entered the NBA out of high school in Akron, Ohio, LeBron has been one of the most prominent players in the game. As a 19-year-old playing for the Cleveland Cavaliers, LeBron won the Rookie of the Year award, but missed the All-Star game in 2003-2004.

During his second season, he made the Eastern Conference All-Stars roster. That year, LeBron posted averages of 27.2 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 7.2 assists. He shot 47 percent from the field and knocked down 35 percent of his threes in 80 games.

Since then, LeBron has been an All-Star regular.

How Many All-Star MVPs Does LeBron Have?

In total, LeBron James has won the NBA All-Star Game MVP honor three times throughout his career.

The 2006 game in Houston, Texas, was the first time. It was LeBron's second All-Star appearance. He was just a 21-year-old on the Cavs, and he nearly won the league's MVP award, coming second that season to his podcast co-host, Steve Nash.

Two years after winning it the first time, LeBron won All-Star MVP in New Orleans, Louisiana. He nearly logged a triple-double with 27 points, nine assists, and eight rebounds.

James wouldn't win All-Star MVP as a member of the Cavs again during his first stint. Although he had strong runs with the Miami Heat from 2010 until 2014, he wouldn't win NBA All-Star MVP for the Heat. However, he took home two league MVP awards while residing in Miami.

The third and final time LeBron won All-Star MVP was in his second stint with the Cavaliers. The game took place in Los Angeles during the 2017-2018 season. Ironically, LeBron ended up moving to the LA Lakers the following year. Since then, he's been the current face of the franchise.

This season, James is averaging 22.0 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 7.1 assists.

The Lakers' star is a part of the USA Stripes roster on Sunday night. The games are slated to begin at 5 PM ET.
