Raiders Hire Seahawks QB Coach Andrew Janocko as Offensive Coordinator: Reunites with Head Coach Klint Kubiak
The Las Vegas Raiders have hired Andrew Janocko, the former Seattle Seahawks quarterbacks coach, as their new offensive coordinator, per sources cited by ESPN’s Adam Schefter (February 16, 2026 update).
This move solidifies Klint Kubiak’s coaching staff as the first-year head coach builds out his vision for turning around the Raiders’ struggling offense, which ranked near the bottom of the league in 2025.
Janocko, 37, will reunite with Kubiak for the third time in their careers. The pair previously worked together:
In New Orleans (Saints), where Kubiak served as offensive coordinator and Janocko was on the QB coaching staff.
In Seattle, where Kubiak was OC during the Seahawks’ Super Bowl LX-winning run (2025 season), and Janocko handled quarterbacks development.
Janocko also spent time with Kubiak in Minnesota earlier in their overlapping paths, making this a trusted, familiar collaboration.
Janocko’s Background and Fit
Janocko joined the Seahawks in 2025 as QB coach after stints with the Chicago Bears (QB coach, 2023-2024) and earlier roles in New Orleans. He brings experience developing young and veteran QBs in varied schemes, which could be key for the Raiders as they evaluate options at the position (e.g., potential draft picks, trades, or free agency moves).

The hire comes after Janocko interviewed for the OC job in Seattle (as Kubiak’s successor) but missed out when the Seahawks selected Brian Fleury (from the 49ers). With that internal path closed, Janocko pivoted to Las Vegas, where Kubiak quickly moved to bring him aboard.
This addition follows recent Raiders staff moves:
Promoting Rob Leonard to defensive coordinator.
Expected hiring of veteran Joe DeCamillis as special teams coordinator.
Kubiak, fresh off Seattle’s Super Bowl success as OC, is leaning on proven collaborators to instill a high-energy, efficient offense in Vegas. The Raiders’ 2025 offense struggled with consistency, so Janocko’s role will be pivotal in scheme implementation, QB development, and play-calling support.
