**ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB) -** The City of Alexandria hosted its annual Mardi Gras Krewes Parade Sunday, February 15, featuring former Pineville Rebel and current Cincinnati Bengals player Cody Ford as grand marshal.
Ford and his nonprofit foundation, “Ford’s Pancake House,” rode on one of the floats as Central Louisiana residents cheered along the parade route. The Bengals’ offensive lineman was joined by friends and family during the celebration.

The appearance comes after Ford served as grand marshal at J.I. Barron Elementary School in Pineville during their pre-K Mardi Gras celebration on Thursday, February 12.
Ford said he looked forward to participating in the Alexandria parade after attending as a spectator last year.
“Grand Marshal for the Alexandria Parade is going to be fun. I went last year to the parade as a bystander and had a great time,” Ford said. “Anytime I get to be out in the community and show my face and show people who I am and what I’m about, I’m always looking forward to it.”
Ford said his family, friends and Ford’s Pancake House organization joined him on the float.
“I have a bunch of my family and friends on the float with me. I have the whole Ford’s Pancake House Organization with me, so being a good crowd out there on our end, and I’m looking forward to seeing that side of the community of Alexandria,” Ford said.
