Liam Rosenior is a big fan of the Chelsea defender but the club are reportedly willing to listen to offers this summer.
Chelsea are reportedly willing to sell three first team central defenders this summer, including one player who has become a linchpin under Liam Rosenior in recent weeks.
The Blues have been surviving without the services of key man Levi Colwill this season after the defender tore his ACL in the pre-season. That has seen Trevoh Chalobah step up to the plate and take a key role in the heart of the defence.
The 26-year-old has cemented a role in the starting XI at Stamford Bridge this season, a year after he was recalled from loan at Crystal Palace. Chalobah has made 25 Premier League appearances this term and played 90 minutes in every match since serving a suspension against Liverpool at the start of October.
Chelsea ‘open’ to offers for three defenders this summer
However, in a report of Chelsea interest in Nottingham Forest defender Murillo, TeamTALK claim that the club are ‘open’ to offers for Chalobah as they look to invest elsewhere - any move for Murillo set to cost upwards of £50 million. Tosin Adarabioyo and Benoit Badiashile could also be transfer listed.
Chelsea manager Liam Rosenior would likely hate to see Chalobah leave the club, given how highly he views the defender. Speaking prior to the 3-1 over Wolves at Molineux, Rosenior said: “Trevoh has been one of our brightest spots in terms of his performances and in terms of what he understands, what we want, not just on the pitch and tactically, but in terms of the culture and what he gives the group.
“He loves this club. He understands what it takes to win and he's made a fantastic impression on my staff and me so far.”
