Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea news, gossip and transfer latest that you guys could have missed…
Chelsea have reportedly entered the hunt to sign Brentford striker Igor Thiago, with the west London club prepared to battle rivals for one of the Premier League’s most coveted forwards ahead of the summer transfer window.
The 24‑year‑old Brazilian has been one of the major revelations of the 2025–26 Premier League season. Having signed a new long‑term contract with Brentford that runs until 2031, with a club option for an additional year.
While Chelsea have a number of attacking figures on their books, none have consistently delivered the sort of returns that Thiago has produced, and that has reportedly placed him high on the Stamford Bridge club’s wishlist.
CHELSEA ’s reported interest adds a significant chapter to what had already been a crowded transfer story surrounding Thiago. Alongside the Blues, Manchester City and Bayern Munich have been linked with the striker, according to multiple reports — a testament to his rapidly rising profile in European football circles.
Even before Chelsea’s involvement, Brentford’s decision to extend Thiago’s contract was seen as a proactive measure to both reward his performances and protect his market value. The lengthy new deal guarantees that any club looking to secure his services in the future will likely have to meet a significant transfer fee.
Thiago’s impact this season goes beyond mere statistics. He has combined power and pace with clinical finishing, and his performances have made him one of the standout Premier League players under the radar of many casual observers.

What a season Thiago is having at Brentford, could you imagine the goals that he could score if a move to CHELSEA would make. The only issue i have about this potential move is the fact that this is his first season in the Premier League, and Brentford are playing to his strengths.
That may not happen here and he could potentially struggle.
CHELSEA IN CUCURELLA TALKS
Chelsea are very keen to hand Marc Cucurella new contract to stay at Stamford Bridge before the opening of the summer window in just a few months time.
Cucurella turned the tide after a poor season and a half at Stamford Bridge to become one of the most crucial players in the team and a player that ex-boss Enzo Maresca was able to rely on during the last few seasons.
But there has been some reports in the media which have claimed that CHELSEA may be open to letting Cucurella leave the club this summer, as the club are eyeing up a number of possible full-backs that offer that area of the pitch a little more.
However – defender is still a first team essential for Liam Rosenior, and considered among the league’s best in his position, and Because of that, the Blues want to offer him a new contract, According too TeamTalk
IcChelseanews says…
It is great news that CHELSEA wants him stay because he has been very impressive for the club over the past 12 months and is easily the clubs number one left-back now, the Blues would be foolish to let him leave.
Saudi Arabian clubs will be willing to make a massive offer, pay around the £70 million mark to get a deal done, but then Chelsea would have to go and find an immediate replacement, get that player used to how things work at the club, let him settle into life in England, it would be more hassle than it is worth.
So we are hoping that a new deal is done between the player and the club sooner, rather than later because i would hate to see the Spaniard leave the club when he has worked so hard to be a regular starter.
BERGVALL WILL BE INTERESTED
Chelsea reportedly made a quiet move for Lucas Bergvall during the January transfer window, according to The Sun. Though no deal materialised, the rumour has resurfaced as the summer window approaches, but would he make the move to Stamford Bridge?
Tottenham only signed Bergvall recently, and he has already shown flashes of the potential that made him such a coveted prospect. as such, Spurs are unlikely to entertain interest easily. Selling him to a direct London rival would be even less palatable.
The most compelling part of the speculation revolves around what Bergvall would want personally. Several factors could shape his interest. At Tottenham, Bergvall has a relatively clear developmental path with a club known for trusting young players. At CHELSEA, the competition is fierce, with multiple high-value midfielders already competing for spots.
Players of Bergvall’s profile often consider the scale of the project, the potential for short- and long-term success, and the opportunity to become a centrepiece of a team. Chelsea may be able to offer a more central role in their future blueprint — something that could appeal to a rising star.
Despite Chelsea’s interest, a summer move would be extremely complex. Tottenham would demand a substantial fee, and Bergvall would need to believe the switch would progress his career rather than stall it.
IcChelsea news Says…
It is no surprise to see that CHELSEA made a move for Bergvall in the January window, he is far too talented to be playing for a side that is fighting down in the relegation battle, he would surely move if the price was right.
We are not sure that he is needed at Stamford Bridge, but to add a bit more depth and quality to the squad, he would be more than welcome to make the move across London and join a side that competes for trophies every season, not once every 20 years.
