Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards called out Luka Doncic and Nikola Jokic after the NBA All-Star Game saying they're not trying to play in the All-Star Game.
Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards called out two of the greatest players in the league, Luka Doncic and Nikola Jokic, following the NBA All-Star Game.
Speaking postgame on NBA TV, Edwards reacted to their performance, saying they were not fully engaged in this type of setting and suggesting that the USA vs. World format might not necessarily bring out the best in all players.
"No shade toward Luka and Jokic, they are two of the best players in the league, but they’re not trying to play in the All-Star Game," Edwards said.
Edwards led his USA Stars team to a win in the All-Star Game, scoring 32 points and earning MVP honors.
Meanwhile, Doncic and Jokic played limited minutes, appearing only in the starting lineup of the first game due to injury management.
