**Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta says he is keen for Eberechi Eze to take more risks in the final third.**
The 27-year-old got himself two assists [**against Wigan Athletic in the FA Cup**](https://goonernews.com/blog/arsenal-player-ratings-wigan/) at the weekend, and speaking about the performance in his post-match interview, Arteta said:
“I think the risk that he took in the final third, the amount of shots that he tried to take as well, I think that’s really positive. That’s what I want from him.”
Eze has been poor over the past few months, but fans will hope that this display will reinvigorate him.
Arsenal could certainly use Eze’s creativity

It is fair to say that the Gunners struggled from open play against Brentford last weekend, and the fact that Eze was hauled off at halftime in that game demonstrated how little he contributed in the final third.
However, with captain Martin Odegaard struggling with a knee problem, there is a good chance that Eze will be in the starting lineup when Arteta’s men face Wolves on Wednesday night.
Eze will be looking to build on what he showed against Wigan, although the level of the opposition will be slightly higher.

Of course, City could reduce that advantage back down to four as they face Newcastle the day before the North London derby versus Tottenham, but if Arteta’s team can secure two consecutive victories, it would certainly hold them in good stead. It will be hoped that Eze can also step up to the plate in two massive away matches over the next week
