The 2025/26 FA Cup fourth round is almost over – who made it into our prestigious team of the round XI this week?
There weren’t many surprises in the fourth round – outside of Mansfield Town stunning Burnley at Turf Moor, there was little ‘cup magic’ to shout about.
Nevertheless, we saw big wins for Arsenal, Manchester City and Liverpool – do you agree with our XI picks?
GK: Lucas Perri
There was only one penalty shoot-out in the FA Cup fourth round this year – Leeds United’s Lucas Perri stepped up to the plate and stole the show after extra time against Birmingham City.
He made a great save to deny Tommy Doyle from the spot – after Patrick Roberts missed his spot-kick, the Whites were into the next round.
RB: Kyle Knoyle
Mansfield Town were at it again in the FA Cup – after knocking out Sheffield United in the last round, they had their sights set on a Premier League scalp this time around.
Kyle Knoyle effectively contained Jacob Bruun Larsen and picked out Rhys Oates for the Stags’ equalising goal. For a player who has spent his whole career in the lower tiers of the EFL, this was a Premier League quality display.
CB: Marc Guehi
Marc Guehi didn’t have the most difficult of tasks ahead of him, as Manchester City took on League Two Salford City, but the England international put his best foot forward nonetheless.
Guehi scored the second goal of the game and kept a clean sheet in a 2-0 victory – City’s defence was noticeably sturdier upon his introduction.
CB: Harry Darling
Norwich City have endured a rough season in the Championship this season, but they managed to put their strong recent form to use in the FA Cup.
Harry Darling couldn’t keep a clean sheet, but he notched up an assist with a brilliantly weighted header back across goal for Paris Maghoma to tap in.
