Transfer rumblings around Liverpool are centered around the long-term winger situation, with Michael Olise one of the biggest names linked.
Liverpool have work to do with this squad to be set up for a title charge next season.
One of the main items of business is to plan for life at Liverpool after Mo Salah.
There are very few players who can come close to the output the Egyptian provides, but Bayern Munich’s Olise is certainly one.

Since leaving the Premier League two seasons ago, the idea of the Frenchman returning has caught the attention of the biggest clubs — Liverpool especially.
Liverpool view Michael Olise as the perfect Salah replacement but that might not matter
Olise was linked to Liverpool last summer, and he remains at the very top of their shopping list.
A new TEAMtalk report reveals that the former Crystal Palace star is the ‘ideal Salah heir’ in the eyes of the recruitment staff at Anfield. That view is ‘unanimous’ among those tasked with identifying transfer targets.

The problem is, Olise seems happy in Germany.
The same report says sources close to the player aren’t convinced a move is possible. They say he is ‘in no hurry whatsoever’ to return to England.
Even worse, there are claims that he ‘harbours a desire’ to play in La Liga, so Liverpool might not have a chance at their ideal target after all.
Liverpool aren’t putting all their eggs in the Olise basket
Olise is easily one of the best in the world in his position now.
That always makes transfers difficult. Why would Bayern want to lose him?
Fortunately, he is not the only quality option to explore.
Yan Diomande has been linked with Liverpool for some time, and he might be the answer. So might Bradley Barcola.

Liverpool have to make a statement signing out wide this summer. The balance of the team requires it.
Olise would be an amazing coup, but if this report is right, it might be time to pack it in and focus on the next best thing.
