LeBron James played in his record-setting 22nd NBA All-Star Game on Sunday evening.
The Los Angeles Lakers star was part of a new format NBA All-Star Game. Three different teams - two made up of U.S. players, one made up of World players - competed in a round robin style event. LeBron's team ended up making it to the championship game, before getting blown out by the other American team, led by NBA All-Star Game MVP Anthony Edwards.
During NBA All-Star Weekend, LeBron was asked if this will be his final one. Will he be retiring?
This not only could have been LeBron's final NBA All-Star Game, but it could be his final NBA season, too.
The aging NBA star has been around since 2003. He's going to be hanging it up soon, one way or another.
But will we see LeBron back in 2026-27?
LeBron refused to answer retirement question
The longtime NBA star refused to answer a question about retirement on Sunday.
"I want to live," he told reporters before playing in the NBA All-Star Game. "When I know, you guys will know. I don't know. I have no idea. I just want to live, that's all."
At this point, it's a safe bet that LeBron will probably be returning for the 2026-27 season. That could be his final one, but you have to think that he'll want some kind of farewell tour, right?
