LeBron James opens up on his post NBA plans

LeBron James addressed growing speculation about his future and possible ownership plans, but made it clear his main focus remains on the Lakers season. While ownership is one of several options he could explore after retirement, he is not rushing any decisions and stays locked in on competing right now.

LeBron James once again addressed the question that keeps following him around the league on what comes next after the NBA. But for now, the Los Angeles Lakers star made one thing clear. His focus is still on the hardwood.

Speculation has grown around James and a possible ownership role, especially with league expansion talks gaining traction.

Las Vegas has been linked as a future NBA city, and in the past, James did not hide his interest in being part of an ownership group.

"There's a lot of things that I have on the table that I could tap into if I want to, that (ownership) being one of them. There's other ventures as well that I'll continue to explore and then see what will engage me and motivate me post-career," James said in the NBA All-Star press conference. "Right now, I'm still locked in on what's going in right now with our season, and that's where my mind is."

Los Angeles currently sits at 33–21, fifth in the West. The season has not been smooth. Injuries have disrupted rhythm and lineup continuity.

James missed time earlier in the year. Austin Reaves and Luka Doncic have also dealt with injuries, affecting rotations and chemistry.
