Puerto Rico Receives 'Huge' Boost After Bad Bunny's Halftime Show

Puerto Rico is profiting off of Bad Bunny's Super Bowl 60 halftime show.

The iconic Puerto Rican rapper and singer performed at half of Super Bowl 60 last weekend. Bad Bunny performed on the Levi's Stadium field for about 15 minutes. He brought out one big special guest, Lady Gaga, and was widely praised for his storytelling and visuals.

The Super Bowl 60 halftime show featured much of Latin America, as Bad Bunny shouted out several different countries at the end of his performance. More than 120 million people tuned into the halftime show, as well.

In the wake of Bad Bunny's Super Bowl 60 halftime show, Puerto Rico has received a "huge" boost.

Puerto Rico has seen a massive increase in travel following Bad Bunny's Super Bowl 60 halftime show at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

Travel to Puerto Rico is increasing in huge way

According to a report from Billboard, travel to Puerto Rico has increased by 245 percent following Bad Bunny's halftime show.

"Puerto Rico's capital, San Juan, saw flight searches jump up 240% while Bad Bunny's hometown, Vega Baja, spiked to a 1,450% increase (these numbers come from flight search data on Expedia.com from February 8th through 11th of this year, in comparison to searches made on the same days as last year)," the report states.

"The power of Bad Bunny's show didn't stop at just making Puerto Rico even more popular. Other Latin American countries saw similar flight search surges, such as Mexico by 210%, Brazil and Colombia by 120%, and Argentina with 70%."

The NFL has wanted to globalize its game and it appears that Bad Bunny's halftime show is helping the league do that.
