Eli Manning thinks Giants need help in this area

Eli Manning has some thoughts about how the [Giants](https://www.nj.com/giants/) can upgrade their offense around quarterback Jaxson Dart in his second year.

Speaking to [Sports Boom](https://www.sportsboom.us/nfl/eli-manning-on-jaxson-dart-giants-draft-needs-and-drew-brees-hall-of-fame) last week, Manning said the team should add a true No. 2 wide receiver behind Malik Nabers.

“I definitely agree that they probably need a true No. 2 to go with Malik Nabers,” he said. “Some of the best offenses are doing that high-powered. I don’t know if they need to do that in the draft, or it kind of depends on free agency. I wouldn’t mind if there’s a good free agent receiver that could be that No. 2, kind of that 1B almost.”

Manning added that a veteran that could mentor Nabers could aid in the star wideout’s development.

Nabers’ 2025 season was cut short after he sustained a knee injury against the Chargers in Week 5.

Before he got hurt, Nabers had 18 catches on 35 targets for 271 yards and two touchdowns through the first four games.

In 2024, Nabers received a Pro Bowl nod and finished fifth in voting for Offensive Rookie of the Year.
