ESPN: Miami Dolphins releasing 8-time Pro-Bowl WR Tyreek Hill

MIAMI GARDENS, FLA. (WSVN) - A possible big shakeup is coming to the Miami Dolphins involving one of its star players.

The football team has released eight-time Pro-Bowl wide receiver Tyreek Hill, ESPN reported Monday.

The move is expected to save the Dolphins $22.8 million against the salary cap.

Hill, who turns 32 in March, is recovering from a dislocated knee and torn ACL that ended his 2025-2026 season.

He will now be an unrestricted free agent for the first time in his NFL career.

The news comes just over a month after the Dolphins [parted ways with head coach Mike McDaniel](https://wsvn.com/sports/miami-dolphins/dolphins-fire-mike-mcdaniel-the-quirky-inventive-coach-who-they-once-viewed-as-their-future/).
