Giannis Antetokounmpo Hilariously Snubs Miami Heat Move

The Giannis Antetokounmpo trade saga has been a roller coaster in the NBA.

One week, he's happily married to the Milwaukee Bucks. The next week, rumors float around suggesting that he wants out, and has a handful of teams he would be interested in joining. The Miami Heat were considered one of them leading up to the NBA trade deadline.

By now, we know the Bucks didn't find a deal they were willing to make. Giannis remains a member of the Bucks for the remainder of the NBA season. Still, plenty of attention will be on him in the summer. Antetokounmpo will be on the Bucks, but many teams will attempt to reignite the trade train for the former MVP.

You can assume the Heat will be players. One fan recently attempted to get Giannis to give him a positive sign about potentially joining the Heat in passing at this year's NBA All-Star events. Instead, he was hilariously snubbed.

Giannis Will Go to Miami-On One Condition

"Giannis, we going to see you in Miami this year? Next year?" One fan asked the superstar forward.

"On vacation," Giannis replied back.

The 31-year-old has spent a large chunk of the 2025-2026 NBA season shooting down the narrative that he wants to get moved. As a 2013 first-rounder for the Bucks, Giannis doesn't know what NBA life is like outside of playing for Milwaukee. He doesn't want the change, but he wants to be on a competitive squad.

The Bucks haven't been able to prove they are able to build a contender around Antetokounmpo since their championship run in 2021. With Giannis still playing at a high level, he wants his window to be maximized. As much as he hopes it's the Bucks to help him get his second championship, a change of scenery shouldn't be ruled out.

For the time being, Giannis is publicly remaining faithful to his one and only organization. If you ask him about the Heat-or any other team that had a link to the two-time MVP-the results are likely to be the same.
