The draw for the fifth round of the FA Cup has taken place. With some tasty ties emerging.

Macclesfield host Brentford on Monday night as a reward for their win over FA Cup holders Crystal Palace in the previous round, and now know they will take on West ham if they progress this evening.

Macclesfield are the lowest-ranked side left in the draw. The fourth round has already brought one major upset, with League One side Mansfield coming from behind to beat Premier League Burnley 2-1.

They next welcome Arsenal in an immense clash, while Wrexham were awarded a tie against Chelsea.

Take a look at how the draw unfolded below.

Brentford risk?

Seven changes from Keith Andrews after the Bees earned a 1-1 draw at home to Arsenal. Michael Kayode, Yehor Yarmoliuk, Vitaly Janelt and Mathias Jensen are the only players to stay in the team.

Where's Robbie?

Macclesfield are managed by John Rooney, brother of Premier League legend Wayne. But before that, Robbie Savage was in charge.

The former Blackburn and Birmingham midfielder departed, however, and here's why.

Rightmove rewards

Rob Smethurst’s life was in a very different place when he became owner of Macclesfield FC in 2020.

The businessman had been in the midst of an alcohol addiction when he saw the club’s Moss Rose ground available on the property website Rightmove, viewing it as a sign for a takeover.

Luke Matheson became renowned for scoring against Manchester United in the Carabao Cup for minnows Rochdale while he was still in school.

And almost seven years on, the defender has a cup upset on his mind once again with Macclesfield.

Can he spring a magnificent moment once again?

Another carrot

The delay to Port Vale's clash with Bristol City means they know what they're playing for next month. A tie at home against Sunderland awaits.

Macclesfield will hope to fell another Premier League club before felling a third.

Mansfield Town downed Burnley this weekend and now get a chance against Arsenal.

Wrexham took down Ipswich last time out to reach the fifth round of the FA Cup for the first time since 1996-97. Chelsea won't be an easy task.

Chris Kavanagh won't referee a Premier League match this weekend after his much-criticised performance during the FA Cup clash between Newcastle and Aston Villa. One of his assistants, Nick Greenhalgh, also hasn't been selected.

When will the fifth round games take place?

The matches being drawn tonight will be played around the weekend of Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 March 2026.

Two fourth round matches remain with Brentford taking on Macclesfield, who disposed of last season's champions Crystal Palace. Bristol City and Port Vale won't play until March, however, after their match was postponed over the weekend due to a waterlogged pitch.
