Cleveland Browns player assaulted at NYC hotel, team says

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - The Cleveland Browns said Safety Ronnie Hickman was assaulted early Monday in New York City.

A team spokesperson said the assault at a hotel sent Hickman to a hospital.

[According to reports](https://abc7ny.com/post/cleveland-browns-safety-ronnie-hickman-attacked-nypd-searching-suspects-assault-sixty-les-hotel-lobby-nyc/18608590/), a group of suspects attacked Hickman in a hotel lobby.

The 24-year-old was treated for minor injuries and released.

The spokesperson said Hickman is now home resting with family.

The Browns signed Hickman, a standout at Ohio State, in 2023.
