Eagles plan on hiring young coach to mentor Jalen Hurts

The Eagles are expected to hire [Parks Frazier](https://www.nj.com/sports/2022/11/who-is-parks-frazier-colts-assistant-will-call-plays-sunday-vs-raiders-for-interim-coach-jeff-saturday.html) as their new quarterbacks coach, [according to CBS NFL insider Matt Zenitz.](https://x.com/mzenitz/status/2023480875858751917?s=46&t=E6zIvoYSh9gpnX9P4W887w)

Frazier, who served as Philadelphia’s passing-game coordinator in 2025, will replace Scot Loeffler. His familiarity with Jalen Hurts makes him an ideal choice. He already knows the quarterback’s strengths and weaknesses and could develop a solid plan for him in 2026.

The Eagles needed a QBs coach who could teach Hurts how to operate in the Sean McVay/Kyle Shanahan-style system under new offensive coordinator Sean Mannion.

Frazier can do just that.

He coached the 2024 season with the Dolphins under former Miami head coach Mike McDaniel, a Shanahan protege.

Previously, Frazier coached on the Colts’ staff with Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni from 2018-2020, working as the assistant to head coach Frank Reich for two years (2018-2019) and as the quality control coach in 2020. He spent the 2021-2022 seasons as the assistant quarterbacks coach in Indianapolis.

Before getting into coaching, Frazier played quarterback at Murray State.
