Horrible Patrick Mahomes news confirmed

The Kansas City Chiefs had their worst season since star quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ ascension to the top quarterback in the league. The Chiefs missed out on the playoffs entirely, and Mahomes went down late in the season with an ACL injury that may impact his availability at the start of next season.

Mahomes is expected to make a full recovery, and even in the immediate aftermath of the injury [was able to maintain a positive outlook.](https://thecomeback.com/nfl/patrick-mahomes-keeping-head-up-despite-acl-injury.html)

“Don’t know why this had to happen. And not going to lie it’s hurts. But all we can do now is Trust in God and attack every single day over and over again. Thank you Chiefs kingdom for always supporting me and for everyone who has reached out and sent prayers. I Will be back stronger than ever,” Mahomes tweeted shortly after going down.

Unfortunately for Mahomes, when he returns, it may be back to the same “lowest in the league conditions” he was dealing with before the injury.

The NFL won a ruling preventing the NFLPA from publicizing criticisms of teams and owners via its annual report cards. However, the 26-page ruling from arbitrator Scott E. Buchheit, [which Pro Football Talk has obtained](https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/ruling-in-nflpa-report-card-grievance-includes-2025-criticisms-as-to-11-teams), includes “a full list of the criticisms about which the NFL complained from the 2025 report cards.”

Buchheit’s written decision confirms some of the hardships Mahomes and the other Chiefs players have had to endure: “The Union said Players ‘continue to express the need for renovation and upgrades to the locker room’ and criticized the home game hotel as the ‘lowest in the league,’ remarking that it is ‘outdated,’ the beds are ‘uncomfortable,’ and the floors are ‘dirty and sticky.’”

It’ll be interesting to see if team owner Clark Hunt makes any sweeping changes to things in light of the recent revelations.
