Seated alongside his wife, former First Lady Michelle Obama, Obama had a smooth catch, not even rising from his seat before stopping the ball. Now, commenters online are applauding the former president for his "aura."
In a video shared on the NBA's official TikTok account, two different angles show Obama making the catch and many people, Obama included, reacting with smiles. The video, which has now gotten more than four million views, has nearly half a million comments, many of which are full of praise for this move.

One commenter wrote, "Aura of this bro is not declining at all," and another said, "The most swagger of any President." In keeping with many sentiments, another comment simply read, "The aura is unmatched." The former First Lady also received ample praise in the comments, with one comment saying, "Michelle at court side....baddie as usual," and another reading, "Mrs. Obama is getting more beautiful with age."
Obama's NBA appearance wasn't the only recent bit of news about the former Commander-in-Chief making headlines, though. In a recent interview, Obama seemingly confirmed that aliens exist, although he has since clarified these comments. When asked whether aliens were real during an interview with Brian Tyler Cohen on February 13, Obama had said, "They're real, but I haven't seen them."
However, in a follow-up Instagram post, Obama explained, "I was trying to stick with the spirit of the speed round, but since it's gotten attention let me clarify. Statistically, the universe is so vast that the odds are good there's life out there. But the distances between solar systems are so great that the chances we've been visited by aliens is low, and I saw no evidence during my presidency that extraterrestrials have made contact with us. Really!"
