Chelsea are denying a massive rumour around an approach for Jurgen Klopp, despite his agent saying the opposite.
Yesterday, some pretty big news came in suggesting that when Klopp left Liverpool, he was approached by Chelsea and Manchester United – but he rejected both approaches. This news was put out allegedly by Klopp’s agent.

The news did not surprise me and to be honest, despite Chelsea denying it, I’m inclined to believe the agent and I’d fully expect Chelsea to have approached Klopp when he was available. I mean, why wouldn’t they? They would have to at least try to bring in one of the best available head coaches in the world, right? They would be silly not to try. I think they probably did try, or at least reach out to his agents, but they were politely told no thanks, and they would rather deny a story like that. This is just my opinion anyway, appreciate others may have different views on it.
Chelsea deny Klopp contact
Sky Sports News, via X, have reported that Chelsea have denied having any contact with Jurgen Klopp’s agent after he said the club made an enquiry.
It was suggested that Klopp’s trusted advisor/agent, Marc Kosicke, said otherwise.

Not surprise Klopp would say no
Even if they didn’t approach him, if they did, it’s obvious he was going to say no. He wanted a break from football first and foremost but also, I can not see a manager like Klopp working under an ownership like Chelsea have.
Klopp would get very little say in anything and would have to accept that the sporting directors and owners run the rule over Chelsea – it just would not work.
