CBS Sports' Josh Edwards projected the Philadelphia Eagles to pick Kadyn Proctor for offensive line depth amid Lane Johnson retirement rumors.
A lot of NFL mock drafts have the Philadelphia Eagles targeting Oregon tight end Kenyon Sadiq in the first round of the 2026 NFL Draft. But CBS Sports’ Josh Edwards went in a different direction for the Eagles in his latest mock draft.
With offensive line concerns because of retirement talks surrounding Lane Johnson and Landon Dickerson, Edwards slotted Alabama offensive lineman Kadyn Proctor to the Eagles at No. 23 overall in the 2026 NFL Draft.
“There has been some dialogue that either Lane Johnson and/or Landon Dickerson could retire this offseason. The beauty of Kadyn Proctor is that he could theoretically fill either role,” Edwards wrote. “In general, Philadelphia believes in depth in the trenches, and Proctor’s mere presence provides insurance for a wide range of possibilities.”
As Edwards explained, Proctor could replace either Johnson or Dickerson. If both linemen return, then Proctor will provide depth while waiting a year or so for the opportunity to start.
During his college career, Proctor played at both Alabama and Iowa. In 2025, he earned first-team All-SEC honors and was a consensus All-American.
Standing at 6-foot-7 and 366 pounds, Proctor could have a future at tackle or guard in the NFL.
