Tottenham have secured the signing of Chelsea defender George Jobling, and The Secret Scout has now shared the first pictures of him in a Spurs kit.
Clubs in the Premier League are constantly looking to improve their academy sides, and that often means trying to poach youngsters from rival clubs. We've seen a host of players move between top clubs, including Chido Obi from Arsenal to Manchester United, and Rio Ngumoha from Chelsea to Liverpool.
Young stars will often get excited about the prospect of a pathway to first-team football, and certain clubs are able to show case studies and evidence that they have a track record of developing talent. A large percentage of players will also be simply looking to chase the money, especially as they aren't being paid a lot when they first come through the academy system.

According to The Secret Scout, Tottenham have secured the signing of Chelsea youngster Jobling, and he's now been spotted in a Spurs kit, seemingly playing for one of their academy sides.
Jobling was recently called up to the England U16 squad for games against Denmark, Spain, and France, showing that he's clearly one of the most highly rated young talents in the country.
Jobling is still only 16 years old, meaning he's yet to sign a professional contract with Chelsea, but he's now set to sign terms with Tottenham when he turns 17.
Spurs Often Target Other Academies

Spurs don't just look to develop their own talent through their academy system. As mentioned, they are one of many clubs that will look to find the best young players from other academies, poaching them and developing them themselves.
In recent years, Oscar Sandiford has arrived from Crystal Palace, Dylan Thompson from Norwich, and Dexter Oliver from Wimbledon, just to name a few. Spurs also brought in James Wilson from Hearts on loan until the end of the season during the January transfer window, with a view to bringing him to the club permanently.
