Report:£32m star could be one of four striker options at Chelsea next season

Nicolas Jackson is set to return to Chelsea in the summer, which means Liam Rosenior could be handed another centre-forward for his squad.

Jackson is currently on loan at Bayern Munich, but it is thought that the German giants have no intention of signing him permanently.

After leaving Chelsea last year, Jackson claimed that he needed something “different”.

However, it looks like the 24-year-old could be in very familiar surroundings next season.

Nicolas Jackson could join Joao Pedro, Liam Delap and Emanuel Emegha at Chelsea next season

According to The Times, the possibility of Jackson returning to Stamford Bridge and remaining there is not being ruled out.

It means that Chelsea could go into the 2026/27 campaign with the Senegal international, Joao Pedro, Liam Delap and Emanuel Emegha as centre-forward options.

You would imagine, however, that Rosenior would not be able to satisfy all four of those names when only one of them can start up front.

Pedro can also play as a No.10, but that position belongs to Cole Palmer when he is fit.

At some stage, there would have to be at least one exit. Reports suggest that Delap’s future is already uncertain despite the 23-year-old only joining Chelsea last summer.

Nicolas Jackson’s stance on Chelsea stay

It did not look like Jackson would play for Chelsea ever again, but Enzo Maresca’s departure has changed a lot.

Given that Emegha is set to join the Club World Cup winners, it would be a bit of a surprise if Jackson ended up remaining in west London.

However, it is believed that Jackson is keeping all options open, which means he is clearly not against the idea of putting a blue shirt on again.

The future of the former Villarreal star, who cost Chelsea £32m in the summer of 2023, is up in the air. But one thing is almost certain: he will not be a Bayern player next season.
