It's actually an exciting time for the Tennessee Titans.
Cam Ward closed out his rookie season strong, looking like a franchise quarterback. Robert Saleh is in town as the new head coach. Brian Daboll has joined on as offensive coordinator.
Now the next task for the Titans is doing everything they can this offseason to supplement the weapons around Ward to allow him to reach his full potential.
One way to do that? Free agency, and specifically, Alec Pierce.
Pierce is the big-play WR from the division rival Indianapolis Colts, and ESPN's Matt Bowen names Tennessee as the best fit to sign him.
"With the Titans in position to be active in free agency, I like Pierce in Tennessee under new offensive coordinator Brian Daboll," Bowen writes. "Pierce has the vertical stretch ability to produce down the field and can play a volume role as a multilevel target for quarterback Cam Ward. Pierce averaged a league-best 21.3 yards per catch in 2025."
Pierce would really bolster a pass-catching group that is already on the upswing.
Elic Ayomanor showed some of his big-bodied wideout traits as a rookie.
Chimere Dike also just completed his rookie WR season, and while his biggest headlines were made in the return game, he also proved some of that explosiveness translates to the passing game, too.
The Titans even had a rookie tight end, Gunnar Helm, with some real promise.
So this offense is young and ready to grow up. Pierce would provide a ready-made target to ensure there isn't too much pressure on any of the youngsters.
Signing Pierce would also deliver a punch to a division rival, making it an even more intriguing pursuit for the Titans when free agency opens in March.
