Moises Caicedo’s decision to overhaul his professional circle at Chelsea has remained largely behind closed doors. Still, the move could signal a shift in how the midfielder plans to navigate his future.
Liam Rosenior has only been at Chelsea for just over a month, but Moises Caicedo perhaps hasn’t been able to ensure as much consistency as he would have liked under the new boss.
However, Manchester City attacker Antoine Semenyo has noticed how well Caicedo has played this season, placing him in his Premier League Team of the Year to date.
When he’s on song, he sets the tone in the middle of the park with his dogged approach and high-energy press that lifts his teammates and piles pressure on the opposition.
And if his change in agents is anything to go by, we could be seeing him for a long while more.

Moises Caicedo’s change of agents points to a new deal
Moises Caicedo decided to change agents back in October of last year, turning to his family members instead for such advice.
And now, Matt Law, who was speaking on the London Is Blue podcast, believes that the change could be down to him wanting a new deal at Stamford Bridge.
The presenter said, “The other thing is he did get new representation too, right? I mean, this all happened at relatively the same time.”
Matt Law replied.
“And what’s the motivation around the new representation as well? You know this is pure speculation, and I’m not doubting his Chelsea future one bit by the way. But more likely would be does he want a new contract? Does he want that new contract sorted out?
“We know that Chelsea have got him very high on a list of people who deserve better renumeration and and deserves a bump and is that playing on his mind? Does he want that to happen? Are talks going on in the background? I don’t know.
“I’m speculating, but that has been known to impact players’ form in the past. So that could be something.”

Does Moises Caicedo deserve a new deal?
He is contracted at Chelsea until June 30, 2031, with a club option to extend for a further year (potentially keeping him at Stamford Bridge until 2032).
But it has been reported that Caicedo wants a new deal at Stamford Bridge.
Caicedo has become the heartbeat of the team, winning the club’s Player of the Season award in 2025 and helping secure both the Conference League and the FIFA Club World Cup.
The motivation for a new deal isn’t about extending his stay, since he is already locked in for the decade, but probably more about a wage correction. His current base salary of approximately £150,000 per week could be seen as low compared to Wesley Fofana, Reece James, Cole Palmer and others.
