Just in: 'World-class' Arsenal star signs new five-year £300,000-a-week contract

Bukayo Saka has signed a new five-year deal at Arsenal, earning him over £300,000-a-week, according to BBC Sport journalist Sami Mokbel.

The Gunners winger was previously under contract at the Emirates Stadium until 2027, but there was an agreement in principle found at the end of last year to extend his stay with the north London club.

Now it has been confirmed that the player has put pen to paper on a new five-year contract, extending his stay until 2031, on a deal that makes him the best paid player in Arsenal history.

Saka, who has been described as 'world-class', has been a key member of the Arsenal side for several years since making his debut under Unai Emery as a teenager, having come through the Hale End academy.

The 24-year-old has now tied himself to the club for his prime years going forward, and will continue to be the face of the club for years to come as a result.

Saka has played for the club 296 times already despite his young age, scoring 77 goals and registering 78 assists in the process, and becoming a club captain, establishing himself as one of the best academy products in modern history at the Emirates.
