Arsenal are preparing to play against Wolves on Wednesday night, which could extend their lead at the top of the Premier League table.
Mikel Arteta’s side currently have a lead of four points over rivals Manchester City in the title race, but they have the chance to extend it on Wednesday. The Gunners make the trip to play Wolves at Molineux, and could stretch seven points clear with a win.

Wolves are massive underdogs heading into the game, as they sit bottom of the Premier League table, having managed to win just one match so far this season.
Ahead of the game, several kay Arsenal players are in doubt because of injury. Martin Odegaard, Riccardo Calafiori and Kai Havertz all missed the Gunners’ 4-0 win against Wigan in the FA Cup over the weekend.
Calafiori back in Arsenal training ahead of Wolves game
Riccardo Calafiori was due to start the game against Wigan, but he was swapped out during the warm up, as he suffered a problem which meant he couldn’t play. It wasn’t clear what his injury is, but, Calafiori is back in training.
Arteta said in his pre-match press conference that he expects the Italian defender to be available against Wolves on Wednesday. He said: “[Calafiori] is fine. He was training with us today, he is feeling better and hopefully he is fit for tomorrow.”
The Arsenal boss also issued an update on Ben White, who felt an issue with his hamstring during the Wigan match at the weekend. Arteta said: “[Ben] was just a bit of fatigue, obviously he did a lot in the game and by the end of it he was feeling a bit of tightness in the hamstring, but he is fine.”
Odegaard not fit for the Wolves match
However, despite the double injury boost with Calafiori and Ben White, Arteta did reveal that captain Martin Odegaard won’t be fit to play against Wolves, although he should return for the North London derby at the weekend. Arteta said: “For Wolves he is not going to be fit, but for Sunday we are very hopeful he can be with us.”
Arteta also suggested that Havertz could return to action against Spurs on Sunday too. He said: “Kai is another one for the weekend is a possibility, we’re looking forward to having him in the squad.”
